Amped eSports: SteelSound Headset Giveaway

Press Release from Amped eSports:

This Thanksgiving Amped eSports would like to give back and thank all of our readers who have supported the Survival of the Fittest (SOTF) tournament and our coverage of this event. In the battlefield of SOTF 8, Amped eSports has once again teamed up with the industry’s number one professional gaming equipment provider Soft Trading, the company behind the SteelSeries and Icemat brands. Recently, SteelSeries announced the availability of two new headsets, the SteelSound 3H and SeelSound 4H. For a chance to win a SteelSound 3H headset (retail value $50) and SteelSound 4H headset (retail value $70), users will have to demonstrate their knowledge of the SOTF 8 tournament and test their knowledge against Amped eSport's Call of Duty 2 Senior Editor, Ted Ottey. Here’s how:

With SOTF 8 Upper Bracket Round 4 and Lower Bracket Round 3 matches approaching, Ted Ottey here at Amped eSports will release his usual predictions for all the matches taking place on Sunday November 26th this Firday, November 24th . To win a headset, users must comment the article with Ted’s predictions with their own predictions of the SOTF 8 matches. The first two users to post predictions whose results are more accurate than or as accurate as Ted’s predictions will win a headset. If no user is able to predict the matches as more accurately than or as accurately as Ted’s predictions, the contest will extend to the next round of SOTF 8 matches. In addition, any match that is forfeited will not count toward the number of correct predicted matches. The winners will be contacted through private message here on the Amped eSports site to explain the distribution process. Any questions about the contest can be left as a comment under this article or you can email us here.

SOTF 8 Battle Report from Amped eSports

Ted Ottey over at Amped eSports recently put up a column titled SOTF 8 Battle Report.

In the column Ted gives voices his opinion on some of the participating teams, including eGe, Check-Six, 50cal, and ENE. On the second page of the column, Ted talks about his thoughts on the SOTF organization and explains what CAL and CEVO are missing. Here is a snippet:

If every organization put in as much time and effort SOTF does in running a tournament/league we would always have a high quality event to watch. In all honesty though, how hard would it be for CAL or CEVO to look for a few guys to spectate matches and review demos. Obviously for the lower divisions it would be nearly impossible to spectate every match, but at least for CEVO-P and CAL-M it would be achievable.

Head on over to Amped eSports to view the full column.
